Three-time BMA nominees, The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, are renowned as the greatest front-porch blues band in the world. They are led by Reverend Peyton, widely regarded as the premier finger picker of the day. He has earned a reputation as both a compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for rootsy, country blues styles.
Reverend Peyton was captivated by country blues styles early in life, which inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi. There, they studied under blues masters such as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour, and David "Honeyboy" Edwards.
Their latest record, "Dance Songs for Hard Times," reached #1 on the Billboard, iTunes, and Sirius XM Blues Charts. It was produced by Grammy-winner Vance Powell, known for his work with Jack White, Chris Stapleton, and others. The record has been critically acclaimed by Rolling Stone, Relix, PopMatters, Guitar World, American Songwriter, No Depression, Glide, Wide Open Country, Paste, American Blues Scene, and many more.
