About Royal and Derngate

Royal & Derngate is a prominent 1,200-capacity theatre complex in Northampton, UK, uniquely combining the historic, Grade II listed Victorian Royal Theatre (opened 1884) with the modern, multi-purpose Derngate auditorium (opened 1983). This dual-venue setup offers audiences a diverse programme, from intimate drama and dance in the Royal to large-scale touring musicals.
