Tomeu Penya and Antología

Born in Vilafranca de Bonany, Tomeu Penya is a celebrated Catalan and Balearic artist, known for his unique voice and eclectic style merging Mallorcan folk with country influences. His breakthrough came with "Càrritx i Roses" in 1982, produced by Joan Bibiloni, selling over 12,000 copies in Mallorca. In 1994, he sold 60,000 copies of "Illes dins un riu" in Catalonia and Balearic Islands, an adaptation of a Bee Gees song. His popular tracks are celebrated at numerous annual performances.
