Tony Blackburn, born in Guildford, Surrey, is a legendary British DJ and TV presenter. A pioneer of British broadcasting, he was the first voice on BBC Radio 1 in 1967. Known for his energetic style and championing Motown and soul music, he won "I'm a Celebrity..." in 2002. He received two Radio Academy Lifetime Achievement awards and an OBE in 2024 for services to broadcasting. He launched the digital music channel That's 60s.
