LineUp

Musical Youth, formed in Birmingham by the Waite family, hit it big with "Pass the Dutiction" in 1982. Known for merging ska and reggae, their top track sold over 4M copies. Other songs include "Unconditional Love" with Donna Summer. Despite early success, the band split in 1985, briefly reuniting before Patrick Waite's death ended hopes of a comeback.
British dance-pop trio Right Said Fred, formed by Sussex brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass, hit global fame with "I'm Too Sexy" in 1992. Known for their catchy tunes and cheeky style, they topped U.S. charts and found success in Germany with hits like "You're My Mate." The group toured extensively and collaborated with German pop star Nena.
Animotion, known for '80s synth pop hits like "Obsession" and "Room to Move," achieved early success but faced lineup changes, briefly shining before disbanding. Reunited later, focusing on nostalgic appeal.
Men Without Hats, new wave pioneers, led by the Doroschuks & joined by Sho Murray & Sahara Sloan, continue their synth-pop legacy. Known for "The Safety Dance" & global tours, they've recently had hits inducted into the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame.
Martha Davis fronted The Motels, a band from Berkeley, formed 1971, renamed in LA, 1975. Known for hits "Only the Lonely" & "Suddenly Last Summer," the band earned two gold albums. After a 1987 split, Davis pursued solo projects and diverse musical collaborations. Reformed The Motels with some original members continue performing.
The Tubes, formed in Phoenix, became famous for their satirical live shows in the '70s. Known for "White Punks on Dope" and "She's a Beauty," they hit Top 40 with "Completion Backwards Principle." Collaborated with Todd Rundgren; later reunited to tour and release music, such as "Genius of America."
