Formed on Detroit’s east side in 1977, power pop band the Romantics are best known for “That’s What I Like About You.” Their gold album In Heat (1983) spawned Top Ten hits “Talking in Your Sleep” and “One in a Million.”

TOTO are a long-running ’70s band whose members have played on 5000 albums totaling half a billion sales, including Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Their work earned over 200 Grammy nominations and has 400M+ Spotify streams and 500M+ YouTube views.

Christopher Cross

San Antonio, TX-born adult contemporary singer-songwriter Christopher Cross broke out in 1980 with Ride Like the Wind and #1 Sailing, winning five Grammys in 1981. He later earned an Academy Award for Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do).
