Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92, is a four-movement symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven between 1811 and 1812. Premiered in Vienna in 1813 with the composer himself conducting, it is widely celebrated for its intense rhythmic energy and vitality, famously described by Richard Wagner as the "apotheosis of the dance."
Austrian conductor David Danzmayr, born in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, is celebrated for his clear, incisive, and expressive style. He is Music Director of the Oregon Symphony and ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and has led the Zagreb Philharmonic. Danzmayr has won prestigious awards, including the Bernhard Paumgartner Medal, and collaborated with artists like Yo-Yo Ma. He is known for inspiring performances across a broad repertoire.
