Victor Wainwright, born in Savannah, GA, is a pianist and singer known for his modern take on boogie-woogie and blues. Influenced by Ray Charles and Johnny Cash, he debuted with "Piana from Savannah." With bands like the WildRoots and the Train, he has blended blues with rock & roll and jam band styles. Notable albums include "Boom Town" and "Memphis Loud." He won the Blues Foundation's B.B. King Entertainer of the Year and Pinetop Perkins Piano Player awards. "Victor Wainwright and the Train" earned a Grammy nomination.
