Formed in Los Angeles in 1975 by Martha Davis, The Motels signed with Capitol Records in 1979. They released five albums, earning two gold records and Top Ten hits with Only the Lonely and Suddenly Last Summer. Davis also released a solo album, Policy.

Wang Chung

Formed in London, new wave band Wang Chung achieved major U.S. success in the mid-1980s. Originally named Huang Chung, the group released hits like Dance Hall Days and To Live and Die in L.A. Their 1986 album Mosaic featured the hit Everybody Have Fun Tonight.

Naked Eyes

British synth pop duo Naked Eyes, formed in 1981, gained fame with hits like "Always Something There to Remind Me." Known for early '80s success and MTV presence, their album 'Burning Bridges' was big in the US. Collaborated as schoolmates, disbanded post-1984 album flop. Fisher died in 1999.
