The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, a New York-based band formed in 2007, merged noise pop and alt-rock led by Kip Berman (guitar/vocals). Known for emotionally resonant songs, their 2009 debut album gained acclaim. Collaborations with producers Flood and Alan Moulder on "Belong" in 2011 added polish to their sound. Despite disbanding in 2019, they reunited in 2025 to tour. Popular songs include "Say No to Love."
Swervedriver, from Oxford, known for "space travel rock’n’roll," gained fame in the 1990s with albums like *Raise* and *Mezcal Head*. Known for intricate guitars and dynamic rhythms, their music journey resumed in 2008 after a decade-long hiatus, with a return album in 2015.
