Whirr is an American shoegaze band formed in 2010 in Modesto, California, by guitarist Nick Bassett. Originally called Whirl before changing their name due to legal issues, the group's lineup features Loren Rivera, Joseph Bautista, Eddie Salgado, and Devin Nunes. Known for their immersive walls of sound that blend 1990s shoegaze influences with heavy guitars and reverb-drenched vocals, they played a central role in the 2010s shoegaze revival. Their discography features early EPs like Distressor, their 2012 debut album Pipe Dreams, and full-length releases including Sway, Feels Like You, and Raw Blue.
