The Brothers Comatose, a San Francisco-based bluegrass band founded by brothers Ben and Alex Morrison, blend Americana, folk, and traditional bluegrass with infectious energy. Known for tight harmonies, virtuosic string play, and lively performances, they welcomed multi-instrumentalist Addie Levy in 2024, adding depth and dynamism. Their storytelling spans love, loss, and adventure.
Arkansauce, a progressive newgrass quartet, embodies the Ozark Mountains with intricate melodies and rhythms. Members Tom Andersen, Zac Archuleta, Ethan Bush, and Adams Collins create authentic songs with layered harmonies and improvisational string leads.
Daniel, born in Nashville, fuses honky-tonk and improvisation in his "Cosmic Country" style. Known for captivating shows with a talented band, his music makes hearts swell and hips shake.
Leftover Salmon, formed in 1989 in Boulder, are jamgrass pioneers known for blending bluegrass, rock, and Cajun styles. They gained fame with '90s albums like Euphoria, toured extensively, and collaborated with Steve Berlin. After a hiatus, they reemerged with albums like 2012's Aquatic Hitchhiker. The band is celebrated for its dynamic shows and was pivotal in the jam band scene.
Shadowgrass, formed in 2014 in Elk Creek, VA by childhood friends Clay Russell, Luke Morris, and Kyser George, blends banjo, mandolin, and guitar in their bluegrass sound. Now featuring Madison Morris and Evan Campfield, the band is known for their seamless vocal harmonies and songwriting talent. Initially named for its "cool" factor, Shadowgrass gained a substantial social media following with their instrumental skills and unique style.
The Fretliners, a powerful bluegrass quartet, formed in a Cloverlick banjo shop, won Telluride and Rockygrass Festivals in 2023, and released a celebrated debut album.
Mountain Grass Unit, from Birmingham, Alabama, is a dynamic bluegrass quartet blending tradition with jazz, funk, and rock.
