Wreckless Eric

Born Eric Goulden in Newhaven, England, Wreckless Eric is known for his playful eccentricity and wise pub-rock style. He gained fame with Stiff Records in the late '70s, recognized for punk-pop hits like "Whole Wide World," produced by Nick Lowe. After early success, Eric's productivity slowed until a revival in 2004. Collaborating with Amy Rigby, he explored a mature lyrical style. Notable works include America and Leisureland.
