yama (stylized in lowercase) is a Japanese J-pop singer affiliated with Sony Music Entertainment Japan. They began their career in 2018 by uploading Vocaloid covers to YouTube before rising to prominence with their 2020 debut original single "Haru wo Tsugeru," which became a massive hit on social media. Known for their distinctive masked persona, androgynous vocals, and anonymity regarding their age and gender, yama has also performed as the vocalist for the rock trio BIN and contributed theme songs to major anime series such as Spy × Family, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, and Ranking of Kings.
