Trampled by Turtles formed in 2003 in Duluth, Minnesota as Dave Simonett’s side project. Inspired by bluegrass and folk, the group built a fast, frenetic sound blending rock & roll with bluegrass, featuring newcomers like fiddler Ryan Young and bassist Tim Saxhaug.

J.R. Carroll

Oklahoma singer-songwriter who honed gospel vocals leading a small-town church choir on piano. He later took up acoustic guitar and performed alongside close friend Zach Bryan on Bryan’s 2020 release Elisabeth, and also supports him on piano.
