Candlelight concerts in Newport surround live musicians with hundreds of flickering candles, creating a calm, intimate setting where familiar pieces are heard up close.
Among the locations is Newport Cathedral, the ancient church of St Woolos on Stow Hill above the city centre, where a Norman nave and stone interior give acoustic music a resonant character.
Programmes typically span a varied range of musical styles.
