The music of Georgia is highly diverse, with a variety of genres including country, rock, Christian, and rap. Athens is a historically important city when it comes to music; it is where the early evolution of new wave and alternative rock took place. Notable artists from the peach state include Ray Charles, James Brown, Outkast, Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers Band, and Goodie Mob.
A lot of exciting Georgia concerts are coming up this year. World famous artist Billie Eilish, known for innovative pop, is visiting the State Farm Arena in Atlanta in partnership with non-profit environmental organization REVERB.
You can also get a chance to see Post Malone as he makes a stop in the peach state soon as part of his F-1 Trillion Tour. Malone is famous for hits like "Sunflower”, “White Iverson”, and “Rockstar”.
Peso Pluma, a Mexican artist who blends Latin urban with regional Mexican, is also visiting the state as part of his Exodo Tour. Other noteworthy mentions include multiple Grammy-winning R&B voice Usher and Dua Lipa on her Radical Optimism Tour.
Most of the live events are concentrated in Atlanta. The biggest concerts in Georgia take place in the State Farm Arena, which has a massive capacity of 21000. It is one of the busiest venues in the country.
Situated in downtown Atlanta, the Masquerade features four indoor venues named Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, and Altar – interesting names for sure.
The Coca-Cola Roxy is another interesting venue, with two tiers of viewing area. It also consists of multiple bars and a restaurant where you can take a bite.
You should also check out The Eastern and Buckhead Theatre, both in Atlanta.
Finding Events: What concert you should attend depends on your musical taste. It is alright to go see your favorite artist or band, but also look at the line-up to see who else is playing – if you don’t like their music, the whole event will be a bore.
Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit concerts in GA is May-June and September-October; during these periods the weather is pleasant and there aren’t excessive crowds.
Age and Restrictions: Try to bring as few items as possible, as you could be barred from bringing things like food & drinks, bags, purses, cameras, selfie sticks, etc.
The ticket is the most important thing. Many concerts nowadays opt for digital tickets you can have on your phones. The ticket is sometimes non-transferrable, so don’t try to come with someone else’s ticket. Go early to avoid lengthy queue times.
Easily find concerts coming up in Georgia using Concerts50. You can search by city or venue to locate concerts near you. Want to see what concerts are trending? You can sort by popularity to see which event is drawing the biggest crowd. You can also search for your favorite artist. If you have a specific taste in music, you can also search by genre.
Buy your tickets now and attend a concert as soon as today, tomorrow, or this weekend. Don’t wait!
