Massachusetts has a thriving music and concert scene. Boston is at the center of it, but Worcester and Springfield are also worth mentioning. There’s no particular season – you can find attractive events throughout the year. The Bay State has many bars featuring live music, but for a truly memorable experience, visiting large concerts in Massachusetts is the best way to go.
The concerts coming up this season feature many world-famous stars, such as Billie Eilish, who will come to Boston in October for its Hit Me Hard and Soft tour. While we are on music tours, let’s mention Sabrina Carpenter. The Pennsylvania-born actress will perform “Feather,” “Skin,” and other hits in Boston.
Shakira will spice up the fantastic season of concerts in Mass in December. Her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour already generates a huge buzz, ensuring those who come to their show in Boston will have a blast. If you enjoy international stars, consider Jhayco’s concert in Boston in November. A rising star in urban music, Myke Towers, is also coming to Massachusetts, with his concert scheduled in October.
The focus of the music scene, regardless of the genre, is on Boston. TD Garden can accommodate up to 18,580 people and this multi-purpose arena often hosts global music stars. Agganis Arena at the Boston University campus is a smaller indoor venue with a 7,200 seating capacity. MGM Music Hall at Fenway is a specialized music location and it can hold up to 5,000 people.
Brighton Music Hall, which used to be the Harper’s Ferry, is a more intimate venue that holds up to 500 guests. It often hosts local, indie, and alternative music bands. If we look outside of Boston, the DCU Center in Worcester is an attractive site for Massachusetts concerts, with a maximum capacity set at 14,800.
The first consideration is what you’ll bring. That includes tickets, identification documents, and sufficient clothes. Plan according to transportation and how you will reach and leave the venue. Give some wiggle room in the schedule to ensure you arrive earlier and have enough time to eat. Having a water bottle on you during the concert is a smart call, and consider taking earplugs and wearing them if the music seems too loud.
