New Hampshire might not be the centre of the American music scene, but that’s not to say some A-class bands aren’t playing across the state this year. From the vintage greats of pop to nostalgic singer-songwriters, there’s tons of great concerts coming up in The Granite State for you to sink your teeth into.
The first step for choosing your ultimate music concert is to know your music taste. Search for your favourite genre and artists. If your fave bands aren’t playing, perhaps a similar artist is. You can use our embedded music players to check out an artist’s sound if you haven’t heard them before, or explore similar bands on the bottom of our artist pages.
It’s always best to read reviews of the venue if you’ve never visited it before. Look through their policies and potential age restrictions, make sure there’s parking available if needed, somewhere nearby to stay overnight if you live on the other side of the state, and disabled access where needed.
It’s also worthwhile digging into the optimal seasons for attending concerts. The biggest events are usually held over the summer, so check concert dates in advance and get your tickets early - you might even be able to get concert tickets cheaper!
Following your favourite artists and venues on social media, and subscribing to their mailing lists, might give you the chance to get first dibs on earlybird tickets, discounted bundles and other special offers. If this doesn’t work, try buying concert tickets directly from the venue’s box office to avoid the extra processing fees you’ll often find buying from online ticketsellers.
Always compare prices across multiple platforms so you’re sure you’re getting the best deal, and always check the full price of the ticket, including commission, not just the face value number.
Radio stations still offer ticket giveaways and other raffles for the biggest events of the year. Of if you fancy gambling your luck, try buying last-minute tickets on the day of the concert for lower prices, presuming the show hasn’t completely sold out by then.
All you need to bring to any concert or event is your tickets, but here’s a quick list of other things which will help make your night complete:
It’s always best to keep any valuables (keys, wallet, phone) concealed in an inside pocket, or a small pouch-purse hidden under your jacket, in case there are pickpockets lurking in the crowd.
Concerts50 makes the event-finding and ticket-buying process simpler than ever before. With over 130,000 concerts listed worldwide, you can filter our gigs by date, location, genre and popularity to find the ultimate concerts for you, all whilst recommending similar artists and events to broaden your scope.
