Saint Monica's Cathedral Concerts

Beautiful Church, very spacious. Has an early 6:30am Mass on Sunday, which is helpful for those going on an adventure afterwards. The stained glass windows are amazing with the light reflecting. Fr Roy gives very nice homilies.

I love candlelight concert, it was an awesome concert, one of the best things I have ever seen. Outstanding musicians, and beautiful setting. Suited Queen music perfectly.

This was part of a half day tour we did in Cairns. Highly recommend going to see the 24 windows with a total of over 1500 pieces of glass depicting the creation story from Genesis and another series known as the Peace Windows, commemorating the end of World War II. Whilst you can see it all when you are inside, nothing can be seen from the outside.

We detoured here on our bus trip. The driver said he wasn't Catholic, but wanted everyone to see the lead glass features. Absolutely amazing. Spent an hour looking at the beautiful glass.

We visited St Monica's based on TripAdvisor reviews. The stained-glass windows are absolutely beautiful and unlike any I've seen before. Among other images, they tell the creation story from an Australian perspective. Well worth a visit.
