What a fantastic place to enjoy a drink with friends before a live music gig, I had a great experience both outside in the garden bar and then into the music hall itself. The food was delicious and served quickly which I thought was great for a busy pub type offer on a full on Sunday night gig, and yes the booze was cold and also delicious 😋This was Filter on Sunday 7th April 2024 - absolutely mint!

This week was only my second visit, the last was over a year ago, and that was just for drinks and food. The Triffid has a relaxed atmosphere and friendly bar staff. This time was to see two bands, “Jesus Jones”” and Pop Will Eat Itself” The gig venue is air-conditioned (which was a relief given the revolting temperatures in Brisvegas in February). The only downside is it’s nowhere near a train station, but the website does provide useful info on buses that stop nearby. We will be back!

The Triffid is a great medium sized music venue! The location is close to the Valley and all its facilities and public transport. There is generally plenty of street parking as well. The sound is great, the layout is such that everyone gets a good view of the stage, too. The mezzanine level opens for sell-out shows and has a good view also. Drinks are pretty standard prices and they have a decent beer selection. They get great bands come through from all genres from both Australia and overseas.

Came to see Frenchie last Wednesday, he was really good. Before the event there was like an open mic on, beer garden was lively. All the, at least the event part of the staff looked really young. Some good cocktails on the menu, spicy margarita and salted caramel espresso martini were good. My favourite passionfruit ale in cans and a blackcurrant seltzer on tap. While waiting before they let us in to the room it got too hot. There was a big fan in the corner, but with all the people it was just very, very hot. Airconditioning in the room was very good. Frenchie did not dissapoint. Cool venue.

Good love venue. Sound is a little bright as its inside an old hanger style building. Not much parking nearby unless you get there hours before doors. Plenty up the road in the valley if you want to walk a few k's. Bar and bistro has plenty of options. Lots of bands play here so I always find myself back even though theres plenty of better rooms in the valley for bands.
