The loss of the Hochbrandbahn is more than regrettable. The “old people” used to know what was good. The mountain station of the Hochbrandbahn was in exactly the right place. Driving down the slope below the Hochbrandbahn mountain station in the afternoon in difficult conditions is no fun. And with a child in tow, too. A diagonal journey from left to right to the panoramic railway is also not possible because a network goes so far down that you can no longer get to the middle station. There is clearly room for improvement.

Today at 12.15 p.m. I bought 4 tickets for a ride up and down the mountain for a whopping €100 to celebrate my birthday up on the mountain. This time only in hiking boots and not skis because I'm pregnant. We had just made ourselves comfortable in cloud 7 and ordered drinks and food when the announcement came that the cable car would be closing in 5 minutes due to wind. So we had to pay on the spot and couldn't eat or drink the drinks, otherwise we would would have been stuck at the top. Once we got back downstairs, there was no refund or anything like that from the mountain railway. Which is really a disgrace given the prices and the wind was certainly no less when we went up. But of course, it's better to just cash in on the people and have them booted up for nothing. Capital the cash register is full. Just really another sign of greed for profit!! Sad…
