Ottakringer Brauerei Concerts 2025

Very interesting guided tour to get some insight in the art of beer brewing and the history of ottakringer beer. Our guide Florian did an awesome job. Especially with his expertise on the beer drinking part at the end. Great chance to try all the good stuff not available in the supermarket. Sadly the bottling plant was not in operation since we did the tour on a Saturday.

The English tour we took on a Saturday was great! Our guide was informative and funny, the beers were actually delicious, the only thing I "regret" is coming on a weekend as the plants were not operating. For a full experience try to come on a weekday!

Visited during the Beer Festival period. The place was open until late night (around 2300 hrs) and had burgers, fish and chips and also typical beer garden food. They also had some offerings of their craft beer "lab", which was a nice addition.

Every year, it's getting worse and worse... most expensive beer in the district (5,20euro),even though they are producing it,so no transportation costs or else applies... above all the profit,the toilets this year: barely 5 square meters for 3 pissoires,3 toilets, and a basin to wash your hands... their interest is exclusively our money; our comfort is secondary at best... The first time in my life that there is a waiting line at the men and not at the women's toilet (not saying that the opposite is ok,just noting,that it s a new achievement...)

Food: Go to the "Blunzenstricker" stand. They serve fresh, homemade food which is absolutely delicious. I had the blood sausage spring rolls. Tastes so much better than it sounds. Beer: Any of the "Zwickl" (unfiltered) varieties are great. All the others will sell you frozen schnitzel and low quality burgers for 15€.
