Grottes de Han Reviews

BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE! Great for kids! Nice park to visit! I recommend it! Walk all the trail. Don't get in the bus after 3 KM. The nicest part is the second half of the path. Another 3 KM to walk. 6-7 KM in total. The CAVE is GREAT. I took the short option: about 1 hour and a half. But you can opt for the long run. I enjoyed every minute of the path I took. There are plenty of places to grab a bite. CARRY A BOTTLE OF WATER WITH YOU!

The cave is great, one of the biggest I’ve seen. The projection show is very basic, they should remove that completely. The “zoo” is amazing. A large number of animals are completely free to roam around and the dangerous ones have a lot of space inside. All animals look great and healthy. As in many other places in Belgium, the guides are presenting in Dutch and French. But every employee speaks great English and they are very helpful and nice. The trucks used to transport people around the animal area should be completely replaced with electrical vehicles as they are extremely loud. The same goes for the speakers inside the cars, the sound quality is very poor and seriously, the song in the beginning and the end of the trip should be removed asap :)

Majestic Ancient Superior. Experience yourself within these caves. Good for walking and tour guide.

We had a fantastic time in the animal/nature parc of the Caves of Han. The nature and the whole experience were amazing. The only downside was the lack of clear information at the reception (and on the website!) on the option to use a baby trolley for the tour. We called in before arriving and were told on the phone it was fine for the first part of the visit. At a certain point we would have to take a little train, which was fine. When we arrived at the reception we asked for 4 tickets; with the baby and trolley clearly in sight; and weren't told anything. It's only when we arrived at the gate that we were told to carry the baby and leave the trolley aside. We got back to the reception to ask to be reimbursed and were told that this wouldn't be possible. They said they could change the date, but not give our money back. They told us we didn't specifically asked the right question and/or didn't read the website correctly. We had to come back to the park within the next 10 days or we would have lost our money. We ended up going back the day afterwards, even if we had a partial rainy day. So, the only advice I would give is to double read everything and ask twice before paying for your tickets.
