Catedral da Sé de São Paulo Concerts 2024

Beautiful and unique cathedral, one of the tallest I have seen, an incredible creation in the heart of Sao Paulo. We visited around 6pm, and as can be seen from other reviews, there are a lot of homeless people in the square around the cathedral which may intimidate some tourists, we didn't experience any issues and we noted that there were many fellow tourists visiting and taking pictures outside. There was a strong police presence to help to keep people safe.

But be mindful of your belongings, especially in the slightly run-down neighborhood.

Great cathedral in the heart of Sao Paulo. Enjoy the outside area with the flying buttresses and gothic front. Visit the San Paulo statue in front and enjoy the shade of trees. Walking up the wide stairs to the entrance. Beautiful stained glass inside with large chandeliers, hard wood pews and a high ceiling.

Gorgeous architecture, and the service was loud enough that I didn't feel we were encroaching. The structure, murals, statues, and paintings were stunning and well worth the trip.

I came here specifically to see the crypt. It was cool, and I had an amazing guide show us around. It was a small group which was nice and it meant there was room for everyone and plenty of time to ask questions. I was encouraged to take photos by our guide. She was so friendly and made my visit more enjoyable. There were many homeless people sitting outside on the steps, and there was a police van parked to the side of the entrance. The cathedral is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful.
