Ancient Theatre Plovdiv Reviews

I visited the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv in April, 2024 and I really loved it. It was not the first time I’ve been there and the place is full of history and beauty. I visited it early in the morning and we were the only people there.. we had it all for us and managed to take some pretty cool pictures with the remains of white pillars, statues and stones. The weather was lovely so definitely recommending visiting during the spring. Also, it offers great views as it’s located on the top of a hill. Number 1 must see in Plovdiv.

Among one the best preserved ancient theaters in the world so this is definitely a must see if in Plovdiv. The entrance fee was 5 leva per person which is very reasonable. Staff was nice and warned us to be very careful when going down as it had rained and was slippery.

It’s an amazing historical place. The environment is so tranquil that you just want to sit and embrace the beauty of it. This is a masterpiece and highly recommended to visit. This is in Plovdiv city, which is approximately 2 hours drive from the Bulgarian Capital city Sofia. Anyone interested in historical sites should check this out for sure.

One of the must visits in Plovdiv. The 1st century constructed Roman theatre is one of the best-preserved Roman theatres. An awesome piece of architecture and extremely nice to walk around and explore. It can host between a few thousand spectators and is currently in use for major performances. Visit it and experience/imagine the ancient days vibe when you are here.
