Ranchman’s Cookhouse & Dancehall Concerts

I've been going regularly since the summer of 2022, it is my happy place. Friendly staff, delicious food, free dance lessons. The place is full of all sorts people ages 18-75 having a great time. Friendly atmosphere for groups, couples, and singles. Lots of line dancing, swing dancing, and two stepping. I've talked with people from all over the globe who were having a great time there as well.

A big shout out to the crew... They were amazing... Entertaining and Engaging... I loved celebrating my birthday there with friends. I highly recommend the line up dance... Mechanical bull was fun... I have to thank the team for making my day...

This is my 2nd year making Ranchman's a pivotal part of our "Girls Weekend". We are always thrilled with the atmosphere of the bar, and can have just as great a time dancing as people watching. I feel that if you get the right time of the night, you'll fit in within the demographic no matter what your age (later in the evening for the younger crowd, earlier in the evening for those of us just young at heart). The bar tenders are always busy - but have always been so great every time. (Sometimes at busy bars - they seem bothered to take your order - I've NEVER experienced that at Ranchman's with the bartenders, coat check or wait staff). The standout for me is the Party Bus pick up. I highly highly recommend that to anyone and everyone looking for a night at Ranchman's. It's clean, comfy, promptly on time and even set up to connect your own music to play over the system. Our driver both years has been John/Jon? Handsome Australian fellow with a black cowboy hat that makes my single girls swoon. As ladies going out on the town, he has always made me feel safe and comfortable as our driver, especially as he chivalrously helps us in and out of the van with our heels on in the snow! When your playing Calgary tour guide to your out of town girl friends - he's been fantastic demonstration of that cowboy spirit that out of towners are looking for. I will have to remember his name for next years Tourism Calgary White Hat Awards.

Place is whack. Bouncers are non existent. I’ve been a few times and always see something going down. Not a place where you necessarily feel safe. Hopefully they can figure it out and get some staff that stop the shenanigans before it happens. Won’t ever give money to this place again.
