You can treat this more of a review of the band I went to see here. Queens of the Stone Age. 1000/5 stars. One of the best live acts I’ve ever seen and that’s four times spanning 20 years. What an awesome night. The venue itself is decent. Well layered out for flow of traffic. Acoustics are half decent. I know this was designed more as a sport venue than a concert venue. Prices at concession were exactly what you’d expect them to be at a place like this. I understand this spot won’t be around much longer as they’ve built a new place next door and all the activity will migrate over to that within a year. Hope to get in and see the Leafs smoke the Flames before the venue is gone. And again, go see QOTSA if you ever have a chance. They’re incredible.

The five star rating is a reflection of our experience at the Scotiabank Saddledome, not of the facility itself. We encountered so many friendly locals at this arena! Even though we were wearing Kraken jerseys, the Flames fans couldn’t have been any more hospitable! The facility itself is on the older side. As loyal, and dedicated as these fans are… they deserve a *newer venue! We dined at the Telus Club and have to admit that our dinner was amazing. Thank you Ryan for the impeccable service. Thank you Calgary Flames fans for being so gracious & welcoming = You do your team proud!

Way cheaper prices than Rogers Arena, so enjoy those prices before the new arena is built and you feel gauged just like in YEG. Bathrooms are everywhere and easy to get to. Bars are everywhere as well. New arenas are nice, but paying double the price is not.

As the stadium has been around a while, the only thing that could improve is facilities for disabled patrons, especially those who require walking canes or wheelchair access. The stairways are really steep and the seating is not so comfortable. Bring a cushion if you are fussy. Other than that the atmosphere at a professional hockey game was electric. I do wish people would stay in their seats, it detracts from viewing an event. Get your drinks and popcorn etc on the way in.

A little bit dated Stadium but with friendly employees. There was a lot of different food and drink options. The buffet in the lounge Restaurant was good.The only downside was the merchandise shop. I looked for a size 60 authentic Adidas Jersey for my husband from the flames captain (#11 Backlund) and it wasn’t available in the hole Stadium on a game day. That was a disappointment for us because we came all the way from Germany to get a original Jersey from him.
