I used to go here but stopped during the pandemic. I thought I felt the Holy Spirit here. I guess I was wrong. God would never have left his believers to starve to death and watch their elderly parents starve with them in their final days. There is no God. We are facing a death like no one’s ever imagined. No food. High rent high gas. No energy left. Where is God?

I am wanting to dive deeper in my relationship with Christ and i am wanting to find a church community that I can connect with and grow in. Upon arrival, I had the doors opened for me. The 2 greeters didn't shake my hand, didn't smile at me and welcome me in. (This is not an attack on the young gentlemen, just a suggestion on what could be done). I walk into the church from the foyer and it's pitch black with music blaring. I had to grab my phone and turn on the flashlight just to find myself a seat - all while the ushers stood aimlessly at the doors, watching me struggle to get my phone out of my purse. The worship was an hour long and although the people in attendance seemed to enjoy the music, I did not. I found it difficult to praise as it didn't feel like song. I love music that touches my heart with a longing so deeply to feel the presence of God. Unfortunately, this wasn't it. The message seemed to be about getting ourself right and start caring more about Christ's reputation. And although that's a wonderful point, I failed to see where it mentioned that we are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. He works on us from the inside out. I found this was more of an outwardly message. I feel that upholding Christ's reputation is something we all fall short on.. it is through spending time with him and letting our old ways wash away. I don't feel this was the place for me but I pray Jesus's love be upon this church and everyone that attends. 🙏

This was the first time at this church and I have been to many different churches over the years but the worship leader was the most self absorbed leader I have encountered. This was not about worship but about trying to put on a performance. Sunday is a time for Gods people to come and worship Him and all eyes and hearts should be directed to our Heavenly Father, this is not a time to be focused on putting on a performance but to allow the Holy Spirit to flow amongst the people and not to be distracted by what is happening on stage. It was hard to engage in the songs that were sung.

I have gone to church my whole life and never experienced something like this. What a self involved worship leader. It is literally impossible to sing along. He grunted, whispered and not really sure what else. Would maybe be ok for a performance but to try and worship was impossible. As a new person it was incredibly off-putting. He did not provide an environment possible to worship but instead just wanted to hear his own voice It seemed.
