River Rock Casino Resort Reviews

Excellent room experience. Price was great. Location near airport and transit system, making getting around easy. Recommend getting day pass. Waiter in restaurant was great, can't recall his name. But thanks for the comic relief. Hotel has a casino and appeared to be busy.

Great hotel staff, awesome buffet upstairs, little pricey but worth it, and within the casino, the food court has great burgers, pizza, and Chinese food. Chef Ramsey's restaurant isn't open as of last visit but soon I hear. The casino boasts some excellent slot games great variety of 1¢ to $1 slot denominations. Table games are plenty as well with side rooms and private for those wanting discreet and quiet gambling time. Slot also has two high roller areas which are hit and miss depending on time of day for crowd. I personally haven't seen it packed in those rooms for slots but that is the time of day I have been there. Overall this Hotel Casino is on the top of my list in the Vancouver lower mainland area. The staff are incredible very knowledgeable and always there to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and that's a big plus. They are there if you win a large sum and make sure that you get home safely. A beautiful setting too, right on the mighty Fraser River on Lulu Island in Richmond, close to the airport and the Canada Line runs right to it at the Bridgeport Station where buses and SkyTrain meet. Cabs are always there and Valet parking available for those who drive in. Ample parking with two large parking lots that are covered except the top floors. Hotel is on both sides of the complex as it is split between by a road but for those staying on the east side of the complex there is an overhead walk to get you into the main part of the lobby and the casino is on the main floor. This resort has some of the friendliest staff I've come to know which elevates

This was my first time staying at this hotel and I was so excited to be attending the coast city country concert. I have done quite a bit of travelling in the last three years and have stayed at low end motels and high end hotels. Upon entering the room it was clear that this room was not clean. There was remaining remnants of food in the fridge, the fridge didn’t work, there was fingerprints and some kind of weird substance on the door to the patio. Under the cabinet there was a chunk of an old granola bar. In the bathroom there was hair in the shower, biological spray all over the mirror. Immediately I was turned off. We also could not open the patio door due to the lock being too close and it was very hard to turn. The front desk sent up a maintenance man and he was lovely. Kind and very polite and even shared some information with us that made us instantly happy with his service. However later the cleaning was addressed but the cleaning was never done or if it was, it didn’t address the issues. It made it hard to enjoy the hotel and it was apparent that standards had obviously failed and possibly due to Covid. However in this time of so many transmittable diseases you would think extra care and attention would be paid in the hotel room. At the end of my stay they compensated me 35$ which I felt was a slap in the face. However I wish they had done this at the beginning of my stay and i could have gone out and got my own cleaning supplies. We also ordered breakfast on their online menu and that didn’t work either. All in all I was very disappointed and won’t recommend it to anyone. Sad as i had heard so many wonderful things.

There was nothing "bad," per se, about the hotel experience, but it seemed very overpriced for what was received. The small, cramped room size and low cost furniture were at a 3 star level. Both the pool and breakfast are inside the casino building across the street from the hotel. The changing rooms/showers for the pool were closed. The hotel itself didn't even have coffee or water in the lobby! Nothing inside the hotel room itself had hours of operations listed for anything. I don't know why other reviews praised the quality of the Chinese restaurant (Chopsticks) so much; it was normal mass-produced in advance cafeteria food. Very meh tasting. Also, the security guard to get to that cafeteria was on a bit of a power trip as if he was airport or border security or something with barking orders like, "Stand on that spot behind you! Look at the camera!" and taking forever to approve entry for simple cheap pizza, noodles, and soda! On the positive side of staying at this hotel, however, the beds were clean enough that I breathed freely (a rarity for hotel rooms, given that I have dust & mold allergies), the room carpet was clean enough that my white socks stayed white, the shower had great water pressure, the subway next to the hotel is very convenient, the hotel room was quiet at night, and during the summer the weekend night market is conveniently next door! I didn't do any gambling, due to the warning of other reviews. So I can't speak on that aspect of this resort. However, the casino front desk and the casino breakfast room staff were very friendly. The casino gift shop staff was also nice.

Just wanted to say thank you for making our stay great! From the ease of check in (family said it was the easiest hotel we’ve ever checked in to) to finding our lost electronic device and following up with us! (Thanks Loretta and staff!!!). Pool was great and clean and location to transit and shopping was great! Would come back and highly recommended.
