Princess of Wales Theatre Reviews

I love this beautiful theatre named after princess Diana with its beautiful architecture and interior design also featuring some great works of art. Is accessible by elevators. If I may snobbishly name one thing ( and the only thing) I don’t like about this theatre it would be the strange bathroom sink that despite almost being a work of art, is very strange and non practical.

Good theatre, though the facilities could use a bit of an upgrade. No cupholders at the seats leaving you to hold your drinks or put them on the ground. Washrooms are small and down many flights of stairs. At the end of the day it’s about the show you go to see and the theatre does have a charming character.

Saw Les Mis and obviouslyyyyyy it was amazing. I actually came here 10 years ago on a field trip to see Les Mis when it was playing here in 2013/14. So it was nostalgic for me to be back here again as an adult to see the same show. And it was just as beautiful and entertaining as I remember. The staff here are scarily good at their jobs, they are veterans fr and are so nice and helpful. I salute you 🫡.

The theatre is great. Very grand and lots of seating. The American Express only bar was a great touch for the intermission. Although I did not technically have to show or use my Amex (but I did!) because you can pay with Amex or cash! The one downside is the toilets. Lots of walking up or down to the basement, and long line ups. Plan to go to the toilet, ie run there straight at intermission!

Loved watching Aladdin! Great theatre, but only complaint is your view may be blocked since the seats aren’t elevated on the floor. Anything that was in the middle for me was out of sight.
