Very cool castle. Wasn’t open when we went but walked around the outside and took pictures. There is an AR app that you can use when inside as well. Link is on the signs outside the citadel.

Took the Zerostrasse tunnel, great history markers inside, to the Citadel. Lots of photo opportunities along the way. At the tower, has both spiral and latter stairs taking you through a narrow opening to the top to witness spectacular views of the harbor, colosseum, and surrounding area. Highly recommend a visit at dusk to capture the sunset.

Beautiful old fortress on a hill top where you can walk around the ramparts, with many exhibits including 2 large tunnels and a tower. An elevator for the disabled or stollers. It has a small museum tickets can be purchased at the entrance. The tunnels were so fun to explore and the views of the city on top were amazing.

Newly opened tunnels etc. great place to visit and for views over the city. Interesting exhibitions with a military emphasis. Gives and idea of the fortifications and strategic importance of Pula. Enter via the tunnels and then take a lift to top, otherwise it's a long hard walk up the mountain.

The Fortress is one of the places you have to see. You will learn something from the history, and also rest during the view of the city. There is excellent access to the different floors of the fortress via the elevator.
