Spanish Synagogue Concerts 2025

The Spanish Synagogue in Prague stands out for its stunning Moorish Revival architecture and its rich historical significance as it is built on the site of oldest synagogues. Featuring vibrant stained glass and intricate golden motifs, the synagogue's decor is visually spectacular. As my first synagogue visit, I was truly mesmerized by the synagogue’s beauty, viewing it as a piece of art. Tickets for just this synagogue is not available but cover multiple Jewish Quarter sites and can be pricey, but they offer considerable value for those interested.

We visited over a weekend in March 2024, buying a ticket and audio guide for all of the Jewish Quarter. All of the information boards are in English and the audio guide offers many languages. Allow at least an hour if you want to read everything. Make sure you take time to marvel at the amazing opulence.

The interior is splendid. Stained glass windows are luminous. Columns and walls are well decorated. The ambience is opulent.

The best, more interesting, and colorful synagogue of the Jewish quarter. Bear in mind to arrive there on time. It closes early in the afternoon, around 16.30, and the site deserves some time to be admired.

Went here on New Year’s Eve to see a concert. It was a string sextet with a tenor. They played songs and instrumentals - Ravel, Orff, Piazzola and some traditional Jewish songs- it was amazing and soulful. The building is in beautiful condition and has a treasure trove of history. Stunning. A definite must see.
