Certainly one of the most gorgeous castles in the vicinity of Prague, maybe a bit underrated and undersiscovered by the foreign tourists. Beautifully located and well-preserved, with large accessible parts of the former palace. Surrounded by meadows full of sheep, goats and one very hairy pig. There are also bears in the castle moat, somewhat famous from starring in children's TV show.

Tocnik Castle has mostly been left in ruins. Necessary paths, bridges and supports have been added. You are able to explore on your own or with a guide.

Very nice place. The 2 bears were there, one was playing a lot with his legs and a wooden stick

Castle itself is antique and in ruins, so don't expect much of an awe. But the history, king's chamber interiors and bears just outside the castle are worth your while. 2 bears: 1 male and 1 female, Agáta and Martin, make sure to visit them.

Beautiful castle from the middle of the 13th century. The ruins of the castle are in good condition, being possible to visit some rooms. There is no guided tour, however when you buy the ticket you receive the explanation on a paper (available in English). You can leave the car on a parking place (50CZK) and walk around 1.5km till the castle. The ticket for adult cost 150 CZK.
