Hotel Cecil Concerts 2026-2027

Loved the location. Bartenders were great. Loved seeing Mattias Kolstrup play there. He's really a fantastic performer.

Went to see French 79 play. Indeed that was my reason to be in Copenhagen. Superb performance. Small venue, maybe too small for the volume, but enjoyable. Very eclectic audience mix, but high percentage of those types who like to try to push through you even when there's no space, subsequently spilling their drinks over you and those who think doing dramatic dance moves in crowded areas whilst bouncing into you every few seconds is socially acceptable, because they're having fun. I fully enjoyed the Frenchman"s performance, whilst thinking of the words regarding 'other people' of another, Jean Paul Sartre. Gigs are always a compromise. I know. Management are also super cool. Drinks are good, at expected prices. Be sure to carry some cash for the cloakroom. I forgot.

Great space for HIGH QUALITY concerts and becomes a nightclub in the late times.

Before entering the bar, the bouncer gave us an introduction about the bar "culture". However, before starting his speech, I mentioned that we didn't speak Danish. He literally told me the F word "f*** off" and laughed, saying it was just a joke—an inappropriate one for my taste. Then, we ordered a drink, but the waitress misunderstood our request and tried to serve us something else. Politely, we mentioned there might have been a misunderstanding because we ordered something else. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she accused us of doing it on purpose and blamed us for the situation. Despite our desire to speak with the manager, she refused to call them. Honestly, this place used to be cool, but last night was just random.

Wonderful intimate venue. Saw a comedy show downstairs. Friendly and helpful staff, great location. Highly recommend!
