Shaka Ponk. They would be amazing anywhere, but the Palais Nikaïa was great. We took an Uber to the venue from Laurent de Var and pre-booked with Uber for the journey back. This is our third chance to visit France, from the UK, to see Shaka. We were very happy. The one tiny downside were the queues to buy food and drink.

An easy venue to get to. Great seating and great sound. Queen Extravaganza were stunning

I guess I’m comparing this venues to ones in the U.K. but flew here for this concert and although that was fab, the facilities at the venue weren’t. + Good public transport from Nice city centre to the venue and only €1.50. + 3 x layers of security checks + Good flow into the venue + Great seats + friendly and efficient welcome - huge queues for toilets, drinks, food (which was limited) and merch too. - just not enough toilets, staff and ‘Point of Sale’ places in and around the venue. - would have spent money but queues just too long to be able to make it back in time for the performance, at start, interval or at the end (3rd attempt for merch) - huge numbers smoking right outside the front doors at the interval, so foyer filled with smoke and you could avoid breathing it in. - also mentioned in other reviews - the lack of ventilation - and Hanz Zimmer did complain about it too and they brought fans in stage mid-way. - Getting back to city took far too long. Not the venues fault but got to tram stop at 11.20 and no tram until 11.50. We were rammed in all the way back to city centre. Very uncomfortable for everyone and took longer than normal due to sheer numbers on board. Overall, venue needs an update and more staff to serve. Taxi home if there’s a next time?

The facility fulfills its role. It may not be the newest and the "freshest", but everything looks fine and quite steep audience makes it easier to see the stage. It's easily reachable by tram - there is a terminus "Cadam" just next to the building.

As technician, i can say, love the big loading doors. Only down side is access to venue from out side to inside, there is a bump in doors.
