This is one of the more majestic churches you can visit. From the outside it looks like a Greek acropolis with Corinthian columns, inside there are beautiful arches and open domes credit to pantheon. Dressed with beautiful ionic columns and fine marble statues. This is an extraordinary church and concert venue. The reverberation sound here is amazing.

Superb ! The church is unbelievable ! The music surrounded us in a great sound field, a real soundstage ! The musicians performed quite well, but i rather define it like "music for tourists" than a real, professional concert. But in total, the experience was unforgettable! Unfortunately the host reserved first 3 or 4 rows of seats in front for guests and a lot of children (more than 20) who came very late, many minutes after the concert begin, disturbing the audience .We payed extra , the most expensive tickets for "best seats in golden area" but we have found that best seats was already reserved by host for their guest. Moreover, the children were not interested very much by the concert, using their smartphones for games or whatever, very disturbing a lot of smartphones glowing in the dark... And also, the tickets being booked online, the hosts asked us to came 30 min earlier "to take the tickets on site" but when we arrived in time we found that it's no ticket to pick it up , because the places are not numbered, so we don't need tickets, instead we have to wait on feet at the church's gate for 20-25 minutes if we want some better places

So beautiful and so much history. Search online for details. The Eglise (Cathedral?) sponsors many musical events and concerts. The 4 Seasons by Vivaldi was this week. Great acoustics and often more is offered.

It is a Roman Catholic church in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The Church was designed as a temple for the Napoleon's army, it is built in a neoclassical style and was inspired by the famous Maison Carré in the city of Nîmes, one of the best preserved Roman temples in the world. It has 52 Corinthian columns, each 20 meters high, 108 meters long and 43 meters wide. In the basement of the church (entrance from the flower market side) is the Foyer de la Madeleine or Hall of the Madeleine which houses a restaurant, which is open Monday to Friday 11:30am. to 2:00 p.m. With the annual subscription of 5 euros for unique meals and service by volunteers under the vaulted ceilings, the dish costs only 8.50 euros with a full menu. After the meal, everyone is free to enjoy their coffee across the hall in the cheapest coffee shop in Paris, with an espresso costing just 80 cents.
