Schloss Agathenburg Concerts

Great place for coffee and cake. Gets very full at weekends but they do all they can to find space for you.

This small castle burnt down to the grond and was rebuilt in 2013. There are expositions but aside from these there is little to see inside as there is hardly any furniture or objects. There is information about the history of the family that owned the castle. This is supplemented with historical backgrounds (like the 30 Years War). Interesting, but the context was not always clear. Visitors can stroll through the park around the castle.

Schloss can be misunderstood as castle or palace. It happens just to be a middle size land house. Agathenburg Castle was built by Hans Christoph von Königsmarck immediately after the Thirty Years' War. For him, the village of Lieth, as it was called at the time, The Agathenburg castle now serves as a cultural center...and it is surrounded with a very nice garden.and back side has very wide park.

Nice and quiet place

Nice place to visit. Lots of activities for kids. I do recommend to visit. Very nice park next to that.
