Wulfsdorfer Weg 71, 22926 Ahrensburg, Germany
My first visit here in Ahrensburg to the Alfred Rust Hall. This rather large hall is located in a community school. The hall is well equipped for the event being seen. On January 20, 2024, Peter Orloff (known from ZDF's HITPATADE) and the Black Sea Cossacks performed here. The performance and all the music was excellent. These are voice artists that you rarely see. I can only recommend. A small negative point was that there were no drinks during the break. A few more photos are coming

The location itself is great, even if it is basically an auditorium. The sound is good, and you can also see quite well from the upper stand (called the gallery). However, what takes some getting used to up there is that the chairs, which are quite hard, are screwed to the floor, so you either have to sit up straight or support yourself with your arms on the railing and rest your head on them to make it a little more comfortable. As a smaller person, you're just out of luck. The bar and the entrance to the hall are a bit very close together, so unfortunately you have to fight your way through until you get to where you want to go. On the day of the event we attended, it was also way too overheated - we arrived on foot and sweat poured down our foreheads for the first half of the event, despite wearing thin clothing. Unfortunately - and no one from the location can do anything about it - the connection there from Hamburg is a disaster, the bus only runs every 30 minutes in the evening, and you then have the choice of either standing in the dark until the bus comes or trudging almost 2 km through a barely lit street. To then see the subway from behind, which only runs every 20 minutes. On days like that there should be a shuttle bus or something. On our next vacation in Hamburg we don't know whether we will book a show here again.

Federal Youth Ballet overwhelmingly good! Good visibility and good ventilation!

A school auditorium. Bad rating due to complete lack of ventilation. At the event at the beginning of October, the hall was full and before the first dancers were on stage, everyone was melting - terribly stuffy and hot. No thanks.

Very big crowd in the very small foyer, long waiting time at the cloakroom.
