Much better than I expected. Lots of interactive displays.

Educational inside of a once great industrial time of the region and of energy in general. Hat's off to all these past miners. Enjoyable experience.

A really interesting museum,covering the mining era,and examples of modern technology.the outside part of the park ,had old machine parts drills ect,with explanations of their purpose.we then entered the inside part of the museum.that was a rebuild of a mine shaft,how an original would of looked like.illustrating,the conditions and equipment,miners would of used.gave you a sense how difficult and hard the work they endured.really worth a visit.

Very cool museum giving a good impression on how mining was in the early days and how it evolved trough the year. Interesting and interactive, for young and old. Took us about 2 hours to go round. There is one additional building that is only open every 2nd saturday at 2 PM for a tour. We were there at a little before 2PM on a 2nd saturday of the month and nobody told us this was even possible. We found out at the end of the parcours when we wanted to enter the building and saw the sign on the door.

Very nice place - could get more stars if English was added. We went in the afternoon when it was empty. A lot of interesting activities. Some were not working unfortunately. Mine small visit is very nice. The exposition about the villages impacted by the big open air mines were also very insightful. Unfortunately dutch and German but not English! As a french person I don't expect to get French in that area but please at least English ... We also ate at the restaurant and that was very good. People from the restaurant and the museum were very friendly.
