Burg Vibel or Wasserburg (Water Castle), which dates back to 12th century, is pretty small and ruined. Currently it is being used as a venue for the annual Castle Festival and you can't see much of the inside of the castle. However, it is extremely pleasing to stroll around the castle and the surrounding areas. The castle has a moat outside with a few fountains. What I like most is the 69 wooden sculptures of human figures created by Stephan Guber and placed just outside the walls of the castle. Except a couple of the figures you can have a close look or even touch, most of them you have to look afar from the other side of the moat. This seems to make it more interesting. Beside the castle there is a park where there are also some sculptures or art works displayed though I would not say they are spectacular but they complement the works of Stephan Guber. It is also nice to walk or cycle along the bank of the Nidda River.
