Historical glass manufacturing site, interesting to see the manual glass blowing process. In the museum you will have the opportunity to observe many unique pieces such as the X Ray machine.

Nice place where to spend a couple of hours.

Best visits from Thursday to Sunday. Early in the week most shops are closed or empty.

Nice peaceful place. Mostly shops. Sadly the pottery was closed which looked so beautiful. The mosaic laying was a great activity. It's a one time thing for us. Not too too much to do. The shops aren't very interesting and I found some staff a bit on the rude side, especially towards kids. Parking was easy and not full. We went on a Friday during spring holidays.

Great little Gem I found this old glassmaking village by driving around. I was simply driving around with my mom that day, then saw a sign giving directions to Museumsdorf Glashutte. Knowing little German, I knew it meant museum, but had no clue what to expect. Walked through the little village, visited the stores and locals making glass art. For eastern Canadians, it's like Upper Canada Village, focusing on glass making. People were more than friendly. It was a pleasant walk around town. All in all, I am extremely great full to have found this peaceful lovely "old timey" village. The scenery is wonderful. Anyone in that area of Germany, should take a day and visit this hidden gem in the forest.
