Pierre Boulez Saal Concerts 2025

Lovely modern chamber concert hall. You sit on all sides and in two layers. Excellent acoustic. The upper tier of seats flowed pleasingly like a hyperbolic paraboloid, or a Pringle crisp for non-mathematicians.

Questionable ticket policy. 3 Patti Smith gigs sold out . At 20.10 o'clock so many free seats still visible but no chance to buy any last minute at the counter. Disappointing for fans that wait a long time for a chance to see this iconic artist.

THE PIERRE BOULEZ SAAL The Pierre Boulez Saal opened on March 4, 2017 with a concert conducted by Daniel Barenboim. Designed by Frank Gehry, the hall has a unique architectural profile, with its elliptical shape inviting audience and artists to become one community—there is no separation here between stage and auditorium. As the public face of the Barenboim-Said Akademie, the Pierre Boulez Saal enriches the cultural life of Berlin with an outstanding program of approximately 150 events per season.
