Very nice place. Apparently you can also celebrate and organize weddings here. There is also a large parking lot. Large, well-kept meadows and an adjacent park invite you to take a walk.

We were on the trail of the East Frisian chiefs. The first stop was the stone house which was very interesting.

The oldest castle of the chief BUNDERHI STONE HOUSE During the 13th century, certain families within the former free provincial communities rose to particular power and influence. These family leaders built tower-like fortified brick buildings, tenements. In the changed political conditions, their function and form subsequently changed. In the early 14th century, the defense tower was solely a shelter for the occupants and their belongings in case of attack, accessible only by ladder or stairs and with small windows or loopholes. Especially in the 16th century, the tower was made more livable, with easier access, larger windows and chimneys. In the 17th century, the first extension was built on the west wall of the tower, which was extended again between 1712 and 1735. The coat of arms and inscription on the west wall commemorate the then owner and last builder Johannes van Heteren Entrance on Thursdays from 15, starting from Easter The price is 4 euros
