Früh am Dom Reviews

Although the food was good and the place is beautiful, the service was awful. Nobody took our orders for more than an hour, they didn't hurry to replace our empty kölsch glasses as well. We also had to wave at the waiters for a good half an hour to ask for the check.

This Brauhaus was an experience to say the least. It was an awesome place to go into and we were able to find a seat without issue. The food was good and quick to arrive. The beverages came without warning at times but no complaints! The atmosphere was amazing. Downside: we are not local and the server, name is available if requested, scoffed as we ordered our lunches as if it was not enough ordering a Braut and cheese meal. When we closed our tab he tried to short change us a EUR and when challenged on the math said “that’s for the tip eh”. Very disrespectful in my opinion, dishonest, and an attempt to take advantage of a patron. I would have given it a 1 star but the actions of one do not highlight the restaurant overall. However, based on this, I would not go back nor recommend to non locals.

We came to this brouhaus without a reservation during the day on a Saturday and were able to find a table to sit for three people without having to wait. We found all of the traditional regional dishes that were in our list. I experimented and had some of the sandwich with raw pork and also the dish with black pudding. I’d recommend you try these local foods if you are an adventurous eater. The overall vibe of the place was casual and despite its location it seemed like mostly locals went there.

The food was really good. I had the Jäeger art schnitzel and kartoffel soup. Both were really delicious. The ambience is nice like a real German pub. And the service is amazing! Aladin was very attentive and provided excellent service, refilling my beer regularly and serving the food at the right time. This restaurant/pub is a must visit!

Came here for a small dinner. Very lively place with lots of rooms with seating. We were able to find seats in the cellar. Despite it being busy, our waiter was quick and attentive. The typical Kölsch beer is served in 0.2 l glasses, so it’s easy to drink one and order more. A couple of the larger tables around us ordered a mini keg of 10 l to share with the group. Food was good. A very nice and cool German beer hall.
