Burg Eppstein Concerts

Fantastic little castle in a lovely town with lovely people. Entry costs only 4 euros, which are well worth it. I visited in April where there weren't many people around and it made it extra special! Totally recommended!

Great spot for a weekend trip from Frankfurt. It’s only 20 min from Hauptbahnhof. Picturesque castle, interesting museum inside, my daughter was delighted - she had seen real knights armor for the first time in her life.

Beautiful place. Don't forget to climb the tower. You will have a great view of the town.

Beautiful castle, very relaxed atmosphere, wonderful views all around. The museum within is on the smaller side, but given the small admission fee, you really get to see a lot. Like with other castles, I'd advice against taking a stroller or hauling unnecessary stuff around, since paths are narrow and sometimes steep. One to two hours of exploring will probably be enough for most visitors. There is no restaurant on the castle, so bring a snack and water if you like. There are cafes and restaurants within very easy walking distance in the village though. The castle has modern restrooms which we found in clean and usable condition.

Amazing and peaceful place to stop by if you're in Frankfurt. If you climb to the top of the castle, you'll get an amazing view of the town.
