St Marienkirche Concerts 2024-2025

A very nice looking church, the most central in the city. It is right next to the improvised Market Square, or what used to be a market square before. Looks very medieval, especially it’s bell tower, that reminds a bit of a castle tower and brings a bit of charm to the view.

It's nice to see that people are interested to preserve this kind of places...there are no more religious practices happening at this place but the ancient window glasses are admirable.

Beautiful Church with such rich history. The exterior and interior are beautiful. We loved waking around the inside and reading all the history they had displayed and then just waking around and having a good look at the architecture. Beautiful.

Huge historic building of the cathedral is nowadays not performing its religious function, but serving as a concert hall

Find a sunny day to go if you really want to see the stained glass. It is a really tall church so it's hard to see it either way. The tower costs 3.50€ to climb and it's all stairs. It starts out very unevenly cut then goes spiral staircase for a while. Finally it opens up to wooden stairs and then puts you out on the roof.
