I love this place and I go there every chance I have. The staff is nice and the ambiance is cozy. It's probably not everyone's Cup of Tea, since it is a small place. But if you enjoy singing, see for yourself! A consumption fee (5€) is charged when the place is crowded.

Mabuhay Music Keller: A Lamentable Karaoke Nightmare Venturing into the depths of Mabuhay Music Keller proved to be an experience fraught with disappointment and frustration. From the moment we set foot in this ill-fated establishment, it became apparent that the DJ's insatiable desire to sing himself overshadowed the very essence of karaoke. Prepare yourself for a tale of subpar vocal talent, broken promises, and a cacophony of questionable taste. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the promise of an evening filled with harmonious delights. The entrance fee, a seemingly reasonable 5 euros, included "a beer and a song of choice." Alas, this offering quickly revealed itself to be a charade, as the warm, past-its-prime beer left a bitter taste in our mouths before we even had a chance to utter a single note. A poor start, but little did we know that the worst was yet to come. The atmosphere within Mabuhay Music Keller was stagnant, as the owner and self-proclaimed maestro of this woeful symphony seemed to relish in his own delusions of grandeur. With an inappropriate abundance of vibrato and a musical taste that defied all reason, he monopolized the stage, leaving mere mortals like ourselves to wallow in the shadows of unfulfilled desires. It was evident that the primary objective of this establishment was to serve as a platform for the owner's dubious vocal prowess, rather than to facilitate the joy of karaoke for its patrons. Over the course of four painstaking hours, we dared to dream of seizing the microphone and belting out our chosen anthems. However, our hopes were crushed as our requests for sixteen different songs fell on deaf ears. Instead, we were subjected to an unending stream of the owner's mediocre serenades, each one more dissonant than the last. The songs we longed to sing were held hostage by the self-indulgent tyranny of a DJ with a voice that seemed to defy all known principles of melody. To add insult to injury, the two microphones provided by Mabuhay Music Keller were far from functional. One perpetually whispered, barely audible above the muted sighs of disappointed attendees, while the other mysteriously reserved its hushed tones exclusively for non-owner performances. It became abundantly clear that the tools of our liberation were intentionally sabotaged, rendering our aspirations of musical expression futile. All of this leaves aside the inconceivably fact that the smoking ban has apparently not reached this particular establishment yet. Lungs are here to be broken down, rather than artistically utilized. Mabuhay Music Keller is a prime example of a karaoke bar gone awry, where the ego of the DJ reigns supreme and the desires of the audience are disregarded. The shoddy sound equipment, coupled with the owner's deafening lack of self-awareness, created an atmosphere of disillusionment and despair. The promise of a harmonious escape was naught but a cruel facade, as our voices were silenced and our dreams left unfulfilled. In conclusion, I implore you to steer clear of Mabuhay Music Keller. Spare yourself the agony of witnessing the spectacle of a karaoke bar turned ego-driven stage show. Seek solace elsewhere, where the spirit of karaoke is cherished, and the voices of the patrons are given the opportunity to soar.

What a terrible experience that was. Cigarette’s smoke was the first hit. Then the second room which was smoke free but still not very nice. I can understand why young comedians want to start with something like this though, so 2 stars and not one.

Good atmosphere and low prices, combined with a good karaoke service (including thousands of songs) are the mix for a great fun time. The only thing you have to be a bit careful with is the cleanliness of the songs book. I strongly recommend to bring some sanitizer gel and use every time you touch the "book".
