Freizeichen (Artik) Freiburg Concerts 2025

Now that they've got a new sound system, I can wholeheartedly recommend Artik as a place to spend the night partying on a weekend. There are 2 floors and a large outdoor area. The pricing for beer is well below average, and there is actually quite a wide variety of Events ranging from Black Metal to Techno.

We were really looking forward to Kid Simius because we've known his music for years. The location was difficult to find, so we arrived after the event had started. At the entrance we were told that we should come back in half an hour, "we're not ready yet." No sooner said than done, we came back and were very surprised at the few visitors. Drinks and prices were great, the gin and tonic was mixed a little too hard, but the first DJane Läina (unfortunately not to be found on Spotify, Soundcloud or anywhere else) played great music, which then immediately invited people to dance. Gracia Picasso was outstanding afterwards, but unfortunately the DJ afterwards wasn't. Even though you grew up with hardstyle, his music was just noise, too much bass and not particularly varied. Then came Kid Simius. What he brought sounded like his predecessor, had nothing to do with his other music and nothing to do with the varied, cross-genre music that was advertised on the event website. Unfortunately, very disappointing. If we had known that the evening would be like this, we would have preferred to stay at home. The staff inside was super nice, Jürgen behind the bar gave everyone a smile and put a smile on their faces, at least that brightened up their disappointed expressions a little.
