Overall, our stay at this hotel was solid, but considering the price, I’ve experienced better facilities, rooms, and services elsewhere. It’s a bit on the expensive side. Be aware that part of the spa area is under construction (Dec 2023), affecting outdoor saunas and a pool annex. We opted for a package with half-board, wine, and treatments. The food was generally good, but note that a 3-course dinner might turn into a buffet unexpectedly. If you’re aiming for a romantic dinner, be cautious. Spa highlights include three saunas, a steam room, and a salt air space. The adult pool is heated, but no jacuzzi at the time of this review. They collaborate with a nearby aqua park if you’re with kids. Massages are professional, and pets are allowed, although you may hear dogs barking. The hotel maintains a good standard, especially in the lobby and restaurant areas. However, long corridors and a lack of signage might pose orientation challenges. Inform yourselves about the ongoing spa construction before planning your visit.

Our stay at this hotel was overall disappointing. I really took my time to make this review, but considering the price, I’ve experienced far better facilities, rooms, and services elsewhere. We were aware that part of the spa area was under construction (we visited in March 2024), what we weren’t aware of were the absolute superficial cleaning conditions. The “big” sauna had literally hands prints and scribbles on the ceiling. We could only imagine that other guests wanted to signal that the place should be cleaned. You could also see the plumbing. I venture to say, this place too, was partially “under construction”. There were also literally crumbs on the floor under the benches, so the cleaning staff was long time due here. To call it a Spa-Retreat is overkill- three saunas, a steam room, and a salt air space and that was it. The outdoor sauna was not available. In the relaxing area we found the same superficial “cleanness” - the mattresses were stained, there was hair on them and it wasn’t just one or one time only. The hotel wants to maintain a good standard, and in the lobby and restaurant areas was actually possible, but on the cleaning they have to do a better job. The corridors were really long and lacked in signs which might pose orientation/navigation challenges. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom on the other hand had also some cleanliness issues. The one thing we really enjoyed and was worth the money, was the food. We opted for a 3 dish menu and were so pleased about it. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good. We didn’t miss anything. The restaurant staff were very polite and professional. As a friend asked me if I would recommend the place, I said- absolutely not.

During our conversation with the reservation manager, my primary concern was to explore the possibility of changing my reservation to the following week. I understand that there might be rules in place, but my intention was to work collaboratively to find a solution that would accommodate my needs while also respecting the company's policies. I believe that flexibility and understanding from both sides can lead to a positive outcome, even in situations where rules may apply. Therefore, tried to transfer to a next week my reservation, reservation manager even did not look on this option. She was repeatedly repeating about policy and rules. Therefore did not succeed, she was very rude, did not listen and we failed to agree. Pitty that I did not ask her name in the end. Had experience to stay earlier in this place. So i can say that rooms are okay, location is great, breakfast with restaurant is not okay, could be better for such price.

Overall a positive experience and we did enjoy our stay. Very friendly and supportive staff and nice interiors. However, it's pricey and I'm not sure I would have visited if I wasn't given a vouchers as a present. I wish the area around saunas were more cozy and it was more clear how to use some of the facilities (e.g., on one of the days the steam bath didn't work and it was unclear why, all the spa staff was on a different floor).

Relaxation was what we came for ... and is what we received in spades. Room - see the attached photo Staff were at the top of their game, each and every time we interacted with them. The Spa - was professional in the extreme – the massage kneaded away my worries and cares. Heated outside pool with an entrance from the heated inside …. How decadent? *smile* The steam room and saunas were clean and wonderful. Food – both the à la carte and buffet were stunning – Breakfast was perfect especially the fresh soft eggs (my favourite) Bar – Pleasant staff and expensive drinks – no shock there with a G&T costing 14 euro a pop… but the bar snacks “Süppchen vom Golfplatz-Kürbis” and the Panini were just the best! Will I go again – Yes! Lastly, used the hotel to access some of the hiking in the area and that was perfect too. Lastly, lastly…. I only wish that the pictures around the hotel would be available for purchase from a catalogue. Thank you to the General Manager for the birthday bottle of bubbly.
